Walnuts crush diabetes risk for women
Eating walnuts twice a week may cut the risk of type 2 diabetes by almost a quarter. A US study of 140 000 women has found that those who ate a 28 gram bag of walnuts twice a week were 24 per cent less likely to develop the condition than those who rarely or never ate them. Although the latest research was conducted on females, researchers believe it’s likely that the same benefits apply to men.
