Julie Mounter is a registered general psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Julie received her Masters in Psychology from Cairnmillar Institute.
She has undertaken research into post-natal depression and anxiety in fathers, and is passionate about spreading the message that Dads matter too! Julie has a warm, friendly approach and works collaboratively with her clients to create a safe and respectful environment in which to explore personal challenges and achieve their potential to lead happy and engaged lives.
Julie also has an extensive background in physical health, working as an osteopath for 15 years prior to commencing study to become a psychologist.
In addition to her clinical work, Julie is a senior lecturer at Laureate Universities (Fitzroy campus) where she teaches Clinical Assessment to Myotherapy students and Counselling and Communications Skills to Bachelor of Health Science students.
