Natalie Maynard grew up in country Victoria, enjoying farm life and the outdoors. Moving to Melbourne to work many years ago, she still regularly returns to help her family out on the property. In her spare time she loves to lead an active lifestyle, enjoying yoga, gym, netball, water-skiing and snow boarding. Natalie is also very passionate about horses, owning and competing them her entire life, so you will often find her down at the horse stables when not in the Osteopathy clinic.
As a horse rider, Natalie learnt from a young age the importance of her body being structurally sound, in order to perform at her best functionally. This is where her love for Osteopathy developed.
Natalie began her academia life at La Trobe University completing a Bachelor of Health Science (anatomy & physiology), continuing on to graduate from RMIT University with a Bachelor of health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) with Distinction. She is also a member of Osteopathy Australia.
Natalie has a 17-year back ground in dental, with experience working with facial and TMJ pain. During a consultation and treatment, she will take a thorough history and examination to identify any aggravating lifestyle factors, to ensure patient education and an individualized treatment and management plan.
In the future, Natalie plans to undertake a course in Clinical Pilates to further her knowledge in exercise rehabilitation, as she see’s the many benefits of rebalancing and strengthening the body to assist with improving general health.
